You get the total for your address before anyone is sent. Technician availability and arrival are confirmed on the same call, based on who is free at that hour.

Check, open, secure
The technician checks ID, opens the door or car, then looks at the lock. If it's damaged or a key is missing, you get a price to fix it before they leave.

ID and proof of residence before we open a door
We check ID and proof of residence or ownership before we open any door, or cut or program a car key. The check is the same at 3 a.m. as at noon.
- HomeA home: photo ID showing the address. A lease, addressed mail or a landlord confirming by phone can stand in for an old licence.
- CarA car: vehicle registration and photo ID, matched to the car before anything is cut or programmed.
- BusinessA business: proof that you run the premises, or confirmation from the person who does.

Securing a door after a break-in
If you think someone may still be inside, leave and call 911. Once the police have what they need, the next job is a door you can lock tonight.
Frame before lock
A forced door usually loses more at the frame and strike than at the lock. The technician checks the bolt, the strike and the jamb, then replaces a cylinder or lock that has been forced.
Locked for tonight
The goal for the night is a door that locks and stays locked. Rebuilding a split frame is often better booked in daylight through our door repair service.
Don't force the strike
While you wait, don't hammer a bent strike back into shape. A bolt that throws into a split jamb feels locked but won't hold.
Rekey after theft

Locked out of your strata building: what we can and can't open
We open your own suite door, your own business door and your own car. We don't open, copy or program lobby doors, parkade gates, elevators, building fobs or common-area locks.
Lobby and gates: strata
Those belong to the strata or the property manager. After hours, your first call is the building's emergency contact, the concierge, or a neighbour who can let you in.
Towers and parkades
This comes up often in high-rise strata in the West End. If your car is behind a parkade gate, someone with a fob has to let the technician in, too.
01The key turns, but the door won't open. Is that an emergency?
Yes. A seized cylinder, a bolt jammed against its strike or a key snapped off flush leaves you as stuck as a lost key. Describe what you see, because it changes what the technician brings.
02Can lost keys wait until morning?
Sometimes. If the keys carried no address and you can still lock up, a daytime rekey may do. If they were stolen with your ID, or taken in a break-in, deal with it tonight.
03Does a night call cost more?
Evening, overnight and holiday calls sit higher within the published ranges. You hear the total on the call and agree to it before anyone is sent, so the hour is already in the number.
04Can you tell me exactly when you'll arrive?
Technician availability and arrival are confirmed on the call. They depend on who is free and where they are at that hour, so we don't publish a fixed time.
05Can you open my shop or office after hours?
Yes, your own business door, once you show you're authorized for the premises. Building entries, shared corridors and access systems run by the landlord stay with the property manager.
06Do you cover the UBC area?
